There are also lots of night clubs in Copenhagen. Here are a few:
Australian Bar - Most commenly known as A-bar, and a favourite place of many teens. It has pool tables and foosball tables, and every Thursday they have a 10 kr. bar and Fridays they often start with live music before the club music starts. It's a very cosy club, and if you happen to pass Gammeltorv on your way there, you might be lucky enough to meet someone who gives out free tickets, as they often do to get new visitors. The dress code is "Come as you are! But be nice", and you're not allowed to wear streetwear, caps, sport shorts and you must have no visible tattoos. They open at 4 pm every day, and Thursday to Saturday the club part opens at 10 pm and closes at 5 am. Despite the name, you will most likely not meet any australians there. The name refers the the interior which, amongst other things, has a fake aligator.
Café Norden - Very famous and touristy café/bar right in the middle of Copenhagens main pedestrian street, Strøget. It's first floor is very nicely decorated, with comfy sofas and huge pillows. One of the bartenders are supposed to be a world champion. In bartending of course.
Disko Dasko - A big night club with 2 dance floors, 3 bars, 4 floors and "chill out lounges". Almost always has the newest and biggest DJs, and pay a lot of attention to giving their guests a great time. Mostly plays house music and techno music, so if you like that kind of music it is definitely worth visiting Disko Dasko.
Den Glade Gris - It means the happy pig, and is more a bar than a club. It is partly a sports bar and shows many premier league, la liga and champions league matches on HD screens. Minumum age is 20 Friday and Saturday and you need picture ID, as you do in any other club. Situtated very close to Runde Tårn and Nørreport Station, with a very cosy atmosphere. Every Tuesday they have Tequila Night, and every Thursday they have open mike nights, with some of the best Danish stand-up comedians and free entrance.
Heidi's Bier Bar - Situtated only 100 m. from Rådhuspladsen, it's very easy to get to. Opens at 4 pm from Saturday to Thursday, and at 2 pm Friday. As the name says, they specialise in different beers, and have more than 30 different kinds from all over the world, so if you love beer and want to try some new kinds, Heidi's is the place to go. They also serve cocktails and shots.
IN - IN is actually three clubs in one, La Hacienda, The Dancefloor and Jukeboks, all with different styles of music (and people). La Hacienda is warm colours, relaxed atmosphere, soft couches and Spanish inspired interior with hit music and disco. The Dancefloor is very different from that, and is very international club modern with pop, trance and dance music, where the dancefloor is the center of attention. The jukeboks is where you can wish for a number (therefore the name), and have a snack. You only pay entrance once and can move from one club to the other. La Hacienda opens at 11 pm, Jukeboks at 11:15 and The Dancefloor at 1 am. It is important to notice that every Friday and Saturday there's an open bar, but the price depends on when you arrive. Men pay 100 kr. all night, women pay 75 kr. if they arrive before 12 am, and 130 if it's between 12 am and 4 am. After 4 am everyone pays 100 kr. Dress code is as most other clubs. No visible tattoos, caps, bandanas, dirty clothes or worn out sneakers. People going to this club are very different, seeing as the three clubs are different. The Dancefloor is often filled with young techno dancers, where as La Hacienda is for the more relaxed people.
Klubben / Dansebaren (formerly Envy) - Situated right next to Vesterport station in the basement of Palads. The interior is mainly white couches with tables, three bars, some dancing poles and a dancefloor. If you arrive before 12 am, there will most likely be no line, but it will also be pretty empty. People start arriving around 1 or 2 am. Remember to check if it's an open bar night or not, because if it is, the club will be packed, and you'll have to make reservations to get a table. People going here are often young and smart and no older than 20. Lots of brand name clothes (fake or not), bling bling and make-up, and you will most likely also meet some under-aged people. But it's a great place to party, with nice staff and good music. Definitely worth visiting if you're feeling young.
Krasnapolsky - Situtated between A-bar and Gammeltorv, and very often has an open bar, however it is again important to notice price difference seeing as girls get in for only 120 kr. while guys have to pay 270 kr.. The music is mainly R'n'B, pop and other mainstream music. Doors open at 12 am, and that would be the best time to arrive, preferably a bit earlier. You would have to wait in line, but you would also be sure to have a place to sit. The place is usually full around 1 am, with more people arriving later, so it will be pretty pakced as it gets late. The toilets are very small, but it's all in all a good club.
Laurits Betjent - Every Thursday they have 17+ parties, with free beer and champagne from 10 pm to 2 am, and cheap bar all night. Of course, if you're younger than 18 they can only serve you Carlsberg 2,7% or sodas. Fridays there's open bar from 10 pm to 1 am. Entrance is cheap, the club has a cosy atmospher and the dress code is 'no caps'. The people going there are often students, who get in half-price every Friday. They don't care about brand names and you don't have to be on a guest list, as you do to many other Copenhagen Clubs. Reserving a table would be a good idea, especially on open bar nights. It's in two floors, with one bar and a foosball table on the bottom and two bars and two dancefloors on first floor.
(s) / Luux - Trendy club with great drinks. Traditional interior with gold brocade tapestry, dance floor and vip-area. (s) changes it's name into Luux at weekends, which is when you're most likely to meet a whole lot of 17-year olds buying champagne. It was voted Night Club of the year in 2006, and is situated close to Nørreport station. Going here, you could run into 'celebrities' from the reality show Paradise Hotel.
NASA - "Members only" club, although you'll get in if you're rich or pretty enough. The entrance door is an elevator, which is pretty cool, and it'll take you into the club, which is all white and "space themed". It's all kind of 2000-ish and futuristich, which might seem a bit outdated and silly now, but in a way fun too. Open until 6am, so arrive late, and be sure to look good or you'll have to wait outside all night. Also make sure you're at least 23-years-old, or you won't be let in unless you're famous. Nasa is a member of 'The World's Finest Clubs', which is only for the most exclusive nightclubs worldwide.
Park Nightclub - Exclusive club which tries to keep the younger people away. Friday minum age is 21 and Saturday it's 23, Thursday it's only 18. It's one of the oldest clubs of Copenhagen, opening in 1992. The music is mostly R'n'B, soft soul, 90's hits and disco. The interior is very pretty and fits with the description 'Copenhagen's exclusive Night Club'. It's a multiclub, which means that it's not only a night club it's also a lounge, a restaurant and you can even rent rooms for private parties.
Note: To get in, you will ALWAYS need picture ID: Passport or driver's license. Minimum age is most commonly 18. Cloakroom is often obligatory, and can be free if you're lucky, but usually cost between 10 kr. and 20 kr. The train doesn't go in the middle of the night, so to get home you'll need to check which night bus or metro to take, and it's smart to check what time the night busses leave, as it's only once or twice every hour.
Ideal Bar at VEGA
